It’s the night before the first working day of 2016, so naturally I’m wallowing and reminiscing about my time off. Don’t you just love those lazy, disorientating days over Christmas? Waking up to no alarm, no work to do, and having no idea what day of the week it is… It’s glorious!
I haven’t blogged at all over this period, mainly because I was busy playing Bananagrams and catching up with friends and family, but also because I just wore the same thing over and over again. Although I took a suitcase-load of clothes back to my parents house, I found this cosy, camel-coloured jumper in a charity shop on Christmas Eve, and wore very little but that for a week straight. I bought one in black too because I can’t get enough of staples at the moment — especially ones that make me look like a giant teddy bear…
Jumper: charity shop (originally M&S), Necklace: handmade, Jeans: Zara, Watch: Olivia Burton
Lifestyle resolutions aside (I’ve challenged myself to learn lindyhop, calligraphy and to explore more), I’ve pledged to buy far fewer highstreet items in 2016, instead focusing on quality second-hand staple pieces.
As a wise lady once said: “buy less, choose well, make it last” (Vivienne Westwood…not me).
Have a great start to the new year x
